Greg Nance and the Run Far Foundation
In 2022, Greg Nance inspired people around the country as he completed his Run Across America, running 3,156 miles from New York City to Ocean Shores, WA. Through his efforts, Greg called attention to America’s mental illness and addiction epidemics, and founded the Run Far Foundation to support youth mental health. The Run Far Foundation has raised over $140,000 (so far) to fund youth-led volunteer projects and help young people find purpose, have fun, and stay healthy.
Matthew Reiswig and howmanyhalfs.com
Matthew Reiswig, the author of this site, is just one of the people who saw inspiration in Greg Nance’s efforts. An avid runner himself, Matthew wanted to use that to support the goals of the Run Far Foundation. While a far cry from running across America, he hopes that tracking his half marathons over the course of 2024 will give numerous occasions to remind others to set their own goals, seek physical and mental well-being, and give back to their communities.
